What We Do
We support educators & children in underserved classrooms, provide mentorship & artistic expression to homeless youth, build schools in some of the poorest countries in the world, and encourage young people to take action and make a difference.
60 million children lack access to education
REACH
Rural Education and Community Harmony
Education empowers youth to reach their fullest potential, and yet more than 60 million children worldwide lack access. So we build schools.
Illiteracy drives poverty. By building schools in the world’s poorest countries, In a Perfect World is helping create educated communities whose young members have the knowledge to change their futures. So far we’ve built 29 schools in Mali, Malawi, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Nicaragua and Nepal. Collectively, our schools serve more than 5,000 students, breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting gender equality.
Dreamcatchers
Arts programs demolished. Access to role models diminished. Children in challenging circumstances in the US are losing ground to budget cuts and community neglect. So we bring them mentors and personal expression through the arts.
In a Perfect World’s Dreamcatchers programs help at-risk, abused and homeless children express themselves through arts festivals, arts residencies and other creative activities, as well as by providing mentorship and classroom support. We do this by supporting partner and grassroots organizations with dollars, fundraisers, and time. Even our youngest Ambassador, Lucia, gets involved by hosting backpack drives.

Youth-led, youth-driven service
Youth Ambassadors
Youth Ambassadors are leading a movement with direct social impact. And they’re learning one of the most valuable skills
in the world: empathy.
Our young changemakers come together to positively impact their communities though youth-led, youth-driven service projects. Whether designing and executing a community clean-up or assembling care packages for hurricane relief, IAPW ambassadors lead with their passions, knowing that their commitment and leadership can make a difference.
Lucia’s World
The youngest member of the In a Perfect World team, junior ambassador Lucia Bella is our resident pint-size activist. From trike-a-thons for sick kids to backpacks & school supplies for high-poverty students, Lucia is proof that when we all do our part, we can truly have a positive impact on the world around us.
