As we forge ahead in 2014, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all that we accomplished in 2013. And what an amazing year it was! Thanks to your support, we made great strides in empowering children, bettering our communities and providing access to education for those without.

In 2013…

We lent a hand.

meals 2Youth Legacy
This summer, Youth Legacy, in partnership with In a Perfect World made it possible for 40 students to eat breakfast and lunch daily. The children were happy to have nutritionous meals and to spend meal time with new friends. Hunger doesn’t take a vacation when school lets out for the summer! In Maryland, over 246,000 children rely on free and reduced price school breakfast and lunch on a daily basis during the school year. When summer rolls around, these children suddenly lose access to the reliable, nutritious meals that help them develop healthy and strong brains and bodies.

We inspired girls.
